Governor Koshyari releases books ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ and ‘GI Manakan’ Stating that Intellectual property rights and Geographical Indicator registration of agricultural products will revolutionalize the field of agriculture, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari called for making the knowledge of Geographical Indicators accessible to farmers across the country in their mother tongue.The Governor was speaking at the launch of the books ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ (English) and ‘GI Manakan’ (Marathi) authored by Adv Prof Ganesh Hingmire at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (2 Aug).
Farmers from different parts of Maharashtra presented their GI registered agricultural products to the Governor. The books and their digital version have been published by Book Ganga.
Retired Colonel Girija Shankar Mungli, former Chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa Sudhakar Avhad and Sanskrit Scholar and Director of Prabodh Udyog Rambhau Dimbale and farmers were present on the occasion.
