• National seminar on patents

In August 2007 GMGC successfully organized a National Seminar on Patents at IIeBM, Wakad, Pune. With the support of students and administration of IIeBM we could put the seminar in place. Dr. Vishwas Rane ( Founder member of All India Drug Action Network), B.S.K.S Chopra ,Dr. Pradip Patil (Manager, Intellectual Property Management: GLENMARK ) ,  Mr. G.S Mungali ( CEO : Venky’s India Ltd.)  and some Patent Agents  were dignitaries present at the event. A non-stop session of interaction about patents, Nowartis case, Pharma industry and numerous other IP topics were discussed. Students were intensively involved, they even didn't realized how nine hrs got over. It was a huge success overal. We were able to pull strength of 144 students.

• Seminar on Patent at Aurangabad

GMGC in association with Indian Patent Office Mumbai and NIIPM Nagpur organized awareness seminar on Patent Law at M.P. Law College, Aurnagabad on 17th October 2008. It was a humungous success. 425 participants from different streams such as Legal, R&D, Biotech, etc. and also professors of engineering and pharma colleges attended this seminar. There were two Principals of different colleges from Aungabad , who attended the seminar. Following are the dignitaries along with their topics that are discussed in the Seminar:

• Importance of Patents in Indian Context and its future perspective by Prof. Ganesh Hingmire(Chairman, GMGC)
• General introduction to Intellectual Property Rights –-Dr. W.M Dhumane (Joint Controller of Patent and Design -Mumbai Patent Office)
• A presentation providing a overview of Indian Patent act with special reference to -----Novalty, Non-Obviousness and Industrial applicability of patents -Dr. W.M Dhumane (Joint Controller of Patent and Design -Mumbai Patent Office)
